A Tribute to John Hodg-Man

John Hodg-Man is a fellow whose audio books and appearances on the Daily Show are an exercise in erudition and entertainment free from the flim flammery and balderdash that characterize most cable pundits.

He also has a blog, and has recently been running HODG-CON 2008, a mysterious rite involving pig’s bladders, bedhead, and a grim view out the window.

In tribute to the said HODG-CON and the HODG-MAN, I have created a Soviet Realist Absurdist poster and a Comic Book in tribute to the Great Man, who, if his words were word-balloons, might speak like P.T. Bridgeport, of Pogo Possum fame.

Awesome Rebranding Site

Brands! Doesn’t everybody love to talk about them! Does anyone know what they mean?

Let’s face it, most rebranding is a boondoggle. This site has before and after logos, which is what passes for rebranding these says, as opposed to pressing a red-hot piece of twisted metal into a cow’s haunch over and over again, which is I suppose what it used to be in the olden days.

It seems that many greek and roman statues were not white, they were painted, and there are still traces of the original pigment in the marble.

The Vatican Museum put on an exhibition making copies of the statues and painting them based on the pigments that were found.

Though it is quite clear that the painting was not done with quite the consummate skill that the sculpting was.

Archie Comics is Ripping Off my Look!

I look like Mr. Weatherbee's younger, cooler brother.

I cut my hair a week after this comic came out. It’s Mr. Weatherbee’s “cool” brother who because he didn’t lose his hair, spent his time fixing motorcycles and being a ne’er-do-well.
